AVChat 1.3 got it’s second revision (1.3c)

AVChat 1.3 just got it’s second revision. This small update includes a few bug fixes and several new features, the most noticeable being the ability to specify the text size for the text chat, one of the most requested features so far. Also flash cookies are back for non integrated versions of AVChat, so that once you type your user name in AVChat, it will be there the next time you visit the chat page.

New updated installation instructions

The support article regarding the installation instructions has been updated with plenty of more detailed information. Also a new support article has been added with step by step instructions on how to install AVChat on your web site when you are using a FMS account from Influxis.

AVChat 1.3 has been released to the public today. Much development has gone into this update, mainly on what feedback we got from our users. We hope you will all like the new features. Speaking of which we mention:

  • better camera and microphone detection script
  • limitations for “free” users including limited video time/day
  • error messages for when you get disconnected from the FCS/FMS
  • better video and audio streams management
  • almost instant video on high bandwidth connections to the FCS/FMS
  • auto resize other’s video area
  • the ability to change the background color

All new orders as of today, will recieve the new version. All previous buyers will be updated (at no extra charge) within the next 2 weeks.

Following the release of AVChat 1.3 next week, we will release several new documentation articles:

  • Integrating AVChat with your users database
  • Creating rooms that are never removed
  • Changing the interface language

They will all be based on the new version of AVChat, 1.3 .

AVChat 1.3 is in development

We want everyone to know that the new version of AVChat, 1.3 is in development here at AVChat Software.

This update will include several features that were requested a lot by our users : limited video time for free users ;) and background color change among others, and a lot of updates on the current features: faster video stream start, error screen, cache buster for the settings files, reconfigured language file, etc. .

We will let anyone know about the status of this update and when it’s ready. We hope to have it done by 1 May 2006, but don’t bet on that, it could take longer.

All previous buyers will be updated for free to this new version when it becomes available.
